Make a Difference and Sponsor a Girl Today
Sponsoring one of the girls at Upendo School and Children’s Home could be one of the most important decisions you ever make. Only 48% of girls in Kenya attend secondary school. Among orphans, the statistic drops even further. We are so proud that the first of our Upendo girls graduated from secondary school in December 2015 and began attending college in 2016. We are currently waiting to hear how many of our 2016 Secondary School graduates will attend college. Their graduation is a testament to their hard work and our generous donors.
Education Changes Lives
A secondary school education changes lives. Your sponsorship doesn’t just change the lives of the student, but also the Murang’a community, improving the quality of life for everyone – now and into the future. Your sponsorship can help end the cycle of poverty for the orphans at Upendo and help the girls transition into a future full of success, fulfillment and independence.
The girls of Upendo understand the importance of an education and have consistently had top ranked exam scores in their district. They hope to become doctors, lawyers and accountants. With your help they can succeed.
A little help goes a long way
Just $1,000, only $2.74 a day, pays for a girl’s tuition for an entire year- her room, board, school supplies, clothes, personal hygiene supplies and medical expenses.
Make the dream of secondary school a reality for one of our girls. Your donation makes all the difference.
Our generous donors have sponsored all of the Upendo girls in need of sponsorship in 2017 and 2018! However, there are currently 14 primary school graduates at the Good Hope Initiative in Uganda that are waiting sponsors so they can continue their education. Check our their sponsorship page and e-mail us to learn more about how you can change a life with the gift of education in Uganda for only $450 a year.
